Day-by-Day
Your guide meets you at Xi'an Xianyang International Airport and transfers you to your boutique hotel in the heart of the old city. After a brief orientation and welcome tea, we head straight into the Muslim Quarter as the sun sets and the food stalls come alive. Over the next three hours, you'll taste your way through 8-10 different local specialties: roujiamo (Chinese hamburger), yangrou paomo (lamb soup with bread), persimmon cakes, pomegranate juice, and more. Your guide explains the Islamic heritage of Xi'an, the Silk Road spice trade, and the stories behind each dish.
Morning: Visit a local market with your chef-guide to select fresh ingredients, then head to a traditional courtyard kitchen for a hands-on biang biang noodle making class. Learn the dough-pulling technique, make your own chili oil, and enjoy your creations for lunch. Afternoon: Cycle or walk the 14km Ancient City Wall — the most complete city wall in China — with panoramic views of the old and new city. Evening: Dress in optional Tang-style robes and attend the Tang Dynasty Dinner Show — a spectacular performance of court music, dance, and acrobatics accompanied by a multi-course banquet.
Morning: Travel 40km east to the Terracotta Army — the 8,000-strong clay army guarding Emperor Qin Shi Huang's tomb for 2,200 years. Your guide brings the site to life with stories of its 1974 discovery, the crafting techniques, and the ongoing excavation. We visit Pit 1 (the largest), Pit 2, and the Bronze Chariot Museum. Lunch at a nearby farm-to-table restaurant serving local Lintong cuisine. Afternoon: Return to Xi'an for free time — explore the Drum and Bell Towers, pick up souvenirs at the Shuyuanmen cultural street, or enjoy a final bowl of paomo. Transfer to airport for departure.
